About me

Expertise, meet leverage

For most of my career I had plenty of theoretical knowledge and quite limited ability to use it. I knew what to do — the data I wanted to see, the tools I wished existed, the campaigns I'd run "if only". And every "if only" needed a developer, a designer, a budget, or a month I didn't have.

Then 2022 happened

I rediscovered AI — and it completely captured my attention. I went from being someone who could barely assemble a pivot table in Excel to self-hosting most of my personal marketing tools, building AI automation products, and running my own infrastructure on a VPS. Obsession is a very good teacher.

Things that used to take a team and a quarter now take an evening and a prompt (fine, a few hundred prompts). It's a new quality of life: more done, less effort, zero waiting for someone's actions. It also did wonders for my career — two levels up that simply wouldn't have happened otherwise. Turns out "I'll just build it myself" is a surprisingly strong argument in meetings.

What I do professionally

By day, I head up marketing at one of the cloud providers. I manage a team across brand & PR, content, social media, events, and strategy. My work sits at the intersection of marketing and technology — I'm as comfortable planning a conference booth as I am digging into campaign KPIs and automation ROI.

How I work

Two things define how I work. I build marketing as infrastructure — systems, data, and workflows — not a collection of one-off activities. And I take an AI-first approach: automation, agentic systems, and AI tools woven into everything the team ships.

Beyond work

I have a thing for language learning — check out the language picker on this site. I speak some of them, understand most, and had a fair share of lessons in all. With English, Russian, and French as leading languages.

I like reading, studying, and sports. Extreme sports in particular.

Disclaimer: level of AI involvement in whatever I produce
  1. Text. I don't write it, I only direct it — briefly describing the facts and the timeline — and edit the result, with my tone-of-voice samples provided. Some of my articles are just a task tracker, engagingly retold.

  2. Images and photos. I take the "drafts", then recreate them in an image generation tool (better camera, lens, lighting). Retouching — 2026 edition.

  3. Design. Everything is designed by AI. My website, the dashboard I use for brand pulse, my playground.

  4. Infrastructure. I generally don't use SaaS products. Mostly self-hosted, changed according to my specific requirements (you'd be surprised how many). Yes, I do modify open source products myself, and sometimes publish my work in case anyone else has similar ideas and needs. All handled by Claude Code — I've long since forgotten how to code.
